Malaysia is becoming one of Southeast Asia's most active semiconductor hubs.
SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 reflected that momentum, bringing manufacturers, equipment suppliers, materials companies, and technology innovators to MITEC in Kuala Lumpur from 5 to 7 May.

For EcoSys, attending SEMICON SEA is part of staying connected to the conversations that shape semiconductor manufacturing in this region.
As a company supporting the pan-semiconductor industry through industrial abatement systems and precision fabrication, our work is deeply connected to the movements happening across Southeast Asia. Malaysia sits at the centre of the region's semiconductor expansion, and being present at SEMICON SEA keeps us close to that reality.
What We Observed
The return of SEMICON SEA to Malaysia drew strong attendance across all three days, with representation from global players, regional manufacturers, and emerging technology names spanning process equipment, materials, advanced packaging, and factory automation.
What stood out was the breadth of the conversation. The event covered not just the hardware of semiconductor manufacturing, but the infrastructure, environmental considerations, and supply chain depth required to sustain a modern fab. For companies operating in the sub-fab and abatement space, that breadth matters.
The regional momentum was visible throughout. Southeast Asia is attracting serious investment across the semiconductor value chain, and the quality of participation at SEMICON SEA reflects that.

Takeaway
SEMICON SEA serves as a useful calibration point. It surfaces where the industry is investing, where the gaps are, and where the next set of challenges will emerge.
We return from Kuala Lumpur with a sharper read on the regional landscape and a continued commitment to keeping the pan-semiconductor industry running cleanly and efficiently.
